Porter Murphy Wallace

I am officially the worst blogger ever. It's hard to blog though you don't have the internet , yes that is what I am going with!! I knew it had been awhile, but I am missing a child for heavens sake. So I am going to introduce you to our last little Wallace baby, and last means two things the latest as well as the very last Sam and Michelle Wallace baby. He is the happiest baby ever, and he loves to be kissed and hugged so I have given him the nickname lover, lover. He was born on August 2nd 2010, and weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces 21 inches long. He was the biggest baby I had and also the one with the most hair. He is now 9 months old and crawling every were and into everything, he is a lot of fun. I have also started doing cakes and have my own business cards and have a cake order forever week for the next 6 weeks, I am so excited and I love doing it. I am going to start a blog for that also!!

As Time Goes By!!! (Catch Up)

Ok, so I know that I have done this once before, but this time is REALLY bad. I am a stay at home as most of you know, but I seriously have had no time to work on my blog, or when I have had time I have recently become a Face Book Junkie!! Sad I know, but I think it is fun to catch up with old friends. I am going to do a little summery of our last few months events.

In June we had the annual Wallace Family Reunion. It was Jon's year to host it and we spent a wonderful time up by Jerome Idaho.

On July 4th like we do every year we go camping with my Dad and Teresa and the John's family. Normally it has been in Driggs Idaho, but this year it was moved to Spencer Idaho which is clear up almost to the Montana border. We left for the weekend and had a great time. It rained alot, but it was still a lot of fun spending time with everyone and going four wheeling. We left that Sunday and once we got out of he canyon we received a phone call from my mom. She told Sam that she had gone over to our house to check on the garden and that the hot water pipe to our claw tub had broken and flooded our house. We had two inches of water upstairs and four downstairs. It was about a three or four hour drive to our house and Sam and I talked about it all the way home. Both of us could not wait to get home to see the mess. When I first walked into the house it smelled VERY musty and there were huge fans every were because my mom had to call a restoration company in to clean everything up. The carpet in the hallway and some of the master bedroom got wet, and of course everything in the bathroom. It really didn't look that bad to us at first and we packed up a couple of things to go to my mom's for the night since they turned the main water off until the pipe was fixed. The next day I called the insurance company and met with the restoration company. By the next day most of everything had dried out and it was horrible, paint was pilling off the wall and the bead board that was up in the bathroom was falling off the wall. The tile flooring was squishy when you walked on it. It just ended up being a lot worse then first expected. The restoration guy then told me it would take a week or two to fix everything...WHAT? I was shocked. So we ended up living in a hotel for three weeks, but we got a B E A Utiful bathroom out of it!!!

Jaxon's 3 years old

We had Jaxon's birthday party in the hotel, and the hotel was nice enough to let us have a swim party in their pool. They all had a blast!!!

New Bathroom

All I can say is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love my new bathroom, I tell Sam all the time I want to sleep in it..I'm a dork I know!!!

Raylie's 1 Year old
I made Raylie's birthday cake and for my first attempt at fondant I don't think that it turned out too bad!!
She got spoiled by everyone, and had fun eating her cake.

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter Everyone!!! This year we were thrilled to have Grandma Betty and Grandpa Mel here for Easter from Washington. She was so excited to have a big Easter Day dinner and egg hunt for the kids. She made a huge dinner for everyone and cooked for several days to get ready for the big day. She also made an amazing Bunny cake that turned out so cute!!! This year was the first year that Jaxon really got into it. He was so excited to do the egg hunt, and made out with a bunch of eggs. I followed him around and helped him find his eggs while I sent Colby with Raylie. Like I said Grandma Betty went crazy and put a bunch of money inside the plastic eggs. Jaxon and Raylie made a hall. Jaxon ended up with $24 dollars and a couple of candies and Raylie ended up with $14 and a bunch of candy. I am going to open a saving account for each kid and of course since Raylie can't eat candy yet I'm sure Jaxon and Colby will end up with all of it. We just want to say thank you so much

Grandma Betty for the wonderful meal and for planning such a fun day for the kids, we all had a blast...Nana and Papa Cochran gave each kid a Easter basket with a new summer outfit and sandles. Thank you Nana and Papa Cochran.

Jaxon got a T-Ball set from the Easter bunny and was outside having fun playing ball with Papa and Uncle Jake...Aunt Alicia also gave all the kids presents, thank you Aunt Eisha!!! As you can tell all the kids got spoiled, Sam and I ate too much food, and we all had a great day.

Misc. Pictures

I have been going crazy lately with crafts. I have made them all from scratch. As I have mentioned before we are remodeling the basement, and you will be happy to know that it is coming along slow, but we are making more and more progress every week and we now have walls separating the bedrooms YAHOOO!!! Anyway with the left over scrap's of wood I have been making all sorts of blocks with vinyl on them. I am pretty proud of myself because I actually cut the wood with a chop saw, sand it, paint it and vinyl it all without the help of my husband!! I just finished decorating for Easter and now my mom, sister, and friends want me to make these for them. I think they turned out pretty cute, and they were way easy and fun to make. I took these pictures of Jaxon this morning. I was doing my hair and getting ready for the day and he wanted me to do his hair also. His new hair style is a "Fo-Hawk", and he is so proud of it. He says he is "Sexy", I would have to say he is just a little stinker, but a VERY cute stinker.. As most of you know we have two dogs. One is an outside dog and the other is Ace a house dog that our friends Nancy & Jayme gave to us. Ace is my little dog and he is the funniest little dog I have ever had. One of the things that he does is he actually smiles. Here is a couple of pictures of him normal, and then smiling. Sometimes when people come over he is so excited and smiling (showing his teeth) that people think that he is going to bite them, but he is just in fact smiling. It cracks me up every time he does it. Last night during dinner Raylie was so tired, but she didn't really want to give up, she wanted to still eat. She finally got so tired she just layed her head against the edge and went to sleep. I even got her out of the seat and she just looked up at me smiled and then went right back to sleep. It was so cute. I think it is so funny when they are that little and can fall asleep anywere. Raylie is almost 8 months old now and she is so much fun. She is the happiest baby I know. She is always laughing, smiling and running around in her little walker following Jaxon. I love this age.

Remodeling Fun

We were lucky enough to have Lisa, Carson, Parker and Bridger come to Logan and visit for a few days. We had them over for Hot Dogs and Fries one night. This is a picture of all of them toasting at the dinner table. It was so much fun to have them come. Jaxon and the boys ran all over the house playing and laughing. I wish they lived closer so they could play all the time.

Remodeling

Sam and I, (mostly Sam) have been working on two remodeling projects. The first one was on the kitchen that we had just recently painted I may add. We were lucky enough to receive a free fridge that was a lot newer and nicer then the one that we had previously had. However it did not fit into the space that that the old fridge was in so Sam had to cut a couple of cupboards and do some sanding to make it fit. It is all finished now and looks really good. Plus we love our new fridge. Thank you Grandma Anderson!!! The second project is a big one. We are finishing the basement to make a bedroom for Colby first of all, and then Jaxon as well. Sam has been working a little bit on this project for awhile now, and we have finally been working on it more and more. It is coming right along. Sam installed some new water piping and now we are framing, then next we will be doing the electrical work. I am so excited to have this done. It will give our family so much more space.

Sam & Colby's Birthday!!!

On February 21st was Sam and Colby's Birthday. Both of the boys wanted to go to the Skid Row and LA Guns concert in Salt Lake at Saltair (total flashback right!!) We purchased the tickets and made plans with my Dad and Teresa to stay with them for the weekend. We left on Friday and the concert was Saturday. Sam's friends from Idaho Cam and Blaine drove down to go to the concert with us, and my sister Alicia and her boyfriend Shane came down on Saturday. It was a blast from the past for sure, but it was a lot of fun. Colby was right at the front of the stage with my sister and rocked out all night. They actually ended up having four bands play and the third band was LA Guns. Before they got on stage there was a comedian who was entertaining the croud and was asking people questions. My sister told him that it was Colby's birthday and that he just turned 15. The comedian pulled him up on stage and talked to him for a while and Colby and two other kids got to introduce LA Guns. This made Colby's day and probably life for awhile. The pictures that I have attached are from Sam's camera phone so they are not that great, but you can get the idea. Colby is the last one on the left. I was so happy for him that I was crying. I'm such a baby when it come to my kids, and you could just tell he was soooo happy, it was amazing. Happy Birthday Sam and Colby I love you both so much, and I'm glad we had so much fun at the concert. While we were at my Dad and Teresa's Jaxon of course was running around like the wild man that he is and ended up running into the corner of a table at full force and gave himself his first black eye. I say first because I know there is more to come, at least there was with Colby. I had to add this picture of Raylie because I love it. She is almost seven months old now, and loves to be in her little walker. She has just recently figured out how to move it and she chases Jaxon all around the living room and kitchen it is really funny.

Super Bowl!!!

Jaxon, Haley, Raylie & Gracie

So no big news to tell you this week. We just watched the Super Bowl on Sunday with our family and Ryan and Alisha Pierce's (Sam's Cousins) family. We of course ate a bunch of junk food, which by the way Lish your brownies are so freakin good and I wish you would have taken them home so I don't eat them all!! We decided to make a little family wager between all of us and made a football square sheet with 100 squares at 25cents a square (I know big spenders!!) Between all the kids and us adults we filled the squares and were ready for the game. We decided that it would be fun to have a winner each (Raylie & Isaac) quarter so we set it as 1st-3rd quarter $5.00 and the last quarter was $10.00. This was a lot of fun because the kids even enjoyed it and wanted to know if they were winning. So the winners went: 1st Quarter: Jaxon, 2nd Quarter: Michelle, 3rd Quarter: Hailey, and 4th Quarter: Alisha. Way to go Pierces!!! It was a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed playing together, thanks for coming over Ryan and Lish.

I couldn't resist taking this picture Saturday. Daddy and Raylie sleeping, so cute!!
